Hi Guys, im back to tell you its been 3 years since I did the big chop in February 2012. You can see there has been some significant growth huh…oh yea uh huh lol. All through the winter until now i have been wearing wigs as protecting styling. (I will do a post soon on my wig collections) I will make sure my hair is neatly cornrowed round like a target before i where my wigs and under the wigs i also make sure that my hair is moisturized with oils and shea butter. But enough said check out how my hair has grew over the years.
I have been natural for about 3 years now, my hair type is a 4a and i gotta say the journey has been great…I will NEVER EVER go back to putting chemicals in my hair…I am in love with my curls 😉
I stumbled upon this Dove campaign ad on youtube about little girls trying to embrace their own curly hair. It was a very powerful and inspiring message that i want to share with all my natural curly hair sista’s…Enjoy! 🙂
So my friend Kemi who introduced me to Heat-Free Hair Movement hair has installed her kinks collection hair do, check her out. We used 2 bundles with the lengths 16in at the bottom and 14in on top.

The 2013 ING Marathon took place this past weekend. It’s the 43rd running of the ING New York City Marathon five-borough race. Runners came from around the world to run this 26.2 miles race across the city. The race paid tribute to the victims and heroes of Sandy, and to those affected by April’s Boston Marathon bombings.
I am very honored to be writing this post because my dear dear friend Cy was in the race. I admire her strength and bravery, she trained and trained for about 4 weeks and at the same time she was a nervous wreck because she was thinking to herself like how the hell am i going to run and finish this race. Lord and behold she made it and she was able to receive a medal in record time. Everyone from family, friends, neighbors, was out there cheering her on. Congrats Cy and we all Salute you for making it through this race in good health, even though it wasn’t easy. I know your father was smiling down on you that day…Well done Cy 🙂
